I found that the TV module connector has at least the red/green 12V cable and the brown ground cable (as it can be seen bellow) so I will probably go with that. Where the CD changer mounting bracket is but after a lot of searching was not able to find the CD changer prep (not even taped anywhere).

I wanted to steer well clear of tapping into a +ve supply off any of the connectors just in case there was a short - as the X3 has a power socket in the boot, it makes it so much safer and you can disconnect the power very easily.Hi again, so I did remove the TV module and reached inside the hole (below): With both the TV and Nav boxes so accessible under the LH side cover in the boot, it makes sense to go in there. I didn't use the CD Changer connector as I have the changer fitted which is in the centre console in the X3 and is a real pain to get out. It is MUCH easier if you have a TV Tuner as the connector with the i-bus line in is the closest one and can be popped in and out in about 10 seconds. You then just plug the power plug into the power receptacle in the X3's boot/trunk (on the RH side), boot up the PC etc, and there you go. I found the easiest was to do the following.ġ) make up or solder up a lead with a 12v fused power receptacle plug to connect to the +ve & -ve on the Resler interface.Ģ) take a long single strand wire from the i-bust connection on the Resler interface.ģ) on the TV tuner (or Nav computer), locate the i-bus wire, and poke the single strand wire into the back of the connector - you may need to free the connector from the latching cover, but that is easy as it just slides off. Any help will be apreciated (some photos of where is that wire would be a great help). I have read other post that says tha cd changer wire is the best option but i don´t know where is that wire in my car (the car has no cd charger). Hello everybody, i would like to activate the voice control in my E83 X3 and i don´t know which is the best place to connect the resler interface.
